Founded in 1871, the Baltimore Chapter of The American Institute of Architects is the third oldest in the country.

The Baltimore Neighborhood Indicators Alliance (known as BNIA or the Alliance) is an organization consisting of diverse groups committed to promoting, supporting and helping people make better decisions using accurate, reliable, and accessible data and indicators to improve the quality of life in Baltimore City neighborhoods.

Central Baltimore

Charles Village Civic
The Charles Village Civic Association represents the interests of residents in working with businesses, institutions, and government to preserve, enhance, and promote the quality of living in the historic neighborhood of Charles Village in Baltimore City.

Charles Village Community Benefits
The Charles Village Community Benefits District Management Authority is home to four distinct neighborhoods: Abell, Charles Village, Harwood, and Old Goucher. The Management Authority oversees the provision of supplemental sanitation and safety services, and it promotes and markets the District.

The Maryland Historical Trust was formed in 1961 to assist the people of Maryland in identifying, studying, evaluating, preserving, protecting, and interpreting the state's significant prehistoric and historic districts, sites, structures, cultural landscapes, heritage areas, cultural objects, and artifacts, as well as less tangible human and community traditions.

The Maryland Historical Society serves the people of Maryland, and those interested in Maryland history, through stewardship of comprehensive library and museum collections that are central to the state�s history, by promoting scholarship through publications, and by providing educational services at our own campus and throughout the state.

The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) provides and supports accessible transit networks throughout Maryland that are customer focused, safe, appealing, reliable, and efficient.

Midtown Community Benefits
The Midtown Community Benefits District is a community organization dedicated to making the neighborhoods of Bolton Hill, Charles North, Madison Park, and Mount Vernon-Belvedere cleaner, safer and more attractive by supplementing municipal services.

Mount Vernon — Belvedere
Mount Vernon — Belvedere Association aims to preserve and restore the Mount Vernon-Belvedere neighborhood. In addition, the association works hard to disseminate information to our residents and businesses about issues that affect the neighborhood, and to inform our visitors of the many exciting activities that take place in the area.

Old Goucher Community
Old Goucher's Community Association aims to connect neighbors, build strength as a community, and collectively support growth in and around Old Goucher.

State of

Station North Arts & Entertainment
Located in the heart of Baltimore, this was the first area in the city to receive state designation as an arts and entertainment district.

The Walters Art
The Walters Art Museum in Baltimore, Maryland is internationally renowned for its collection of art. The collection presents an overview of world art from pre-dynastic Egypt to 20th-century Europe, and counts among its many treasures Greek sculpture and Roman sarcophagi; medieval ivories and Old Master paintings; Art Deco jewelry and 19th-century European and American masterpieces.
